Vijay’s upcoming film Jilla has been sent to censors recently and cleared with a clean U certificate without any cuts.The film was scheduled for January 10th as a pongal release and the date is said to locked as final. The music of this film was recently released and received good appreciation among thalapathy fans and even many fans celebrated the audio launch in their hometown.

Jilla has Vijay,Mohanlal,Kajal Agarwal in the lead and Suri and many. The film is directed by R.T.Nesan and produced by R.B.Choudry.

Dhoom 3's box-office exploits reached a new high at the end of the second weekend yesterday, when it crossed Chennai Express' Indian net collections of 226.70 crores. Dhoom 3 has now netted 227.83 crores in India, inclusive of the Tamil and Telugu versions too. The Hindi version has contributed 216.66 crores to the total, with 37.69 crores coming in the second weekend.

 

Aamir Khan's Ghajini was the first movie to net 100 crores while his 3 Idiots was the first movie to net 200 crores in India. Now, Dhoom 3 is all set to net anywhere between 250 to 300 crores as lifetime collections in India. It will obviously emerge as the biggest box-office hit in India in a few more days' time, by besting Krrish 3.

 

Dhoom 3 has ended the year on a great note for the Bollywood film trade. Aamir Khan is now sitting right on top as Dhoom 3 has bested the business of Salman and Shahrukh's biggest hits till date, Ek Tha Tiger and Chennai Express respectively.

‘Siruthai’ Siva, director of Veeram, is very popular in the Telugu industry. His movies Souriyam and Sankham were big hits there. Ajith’s market in the neighboring industry is also on the rise, with Arrambam’s Telugu version, Aata Arrambam, doing good business. So, Srini Babu, who tasted some success with Aata Arrambam, has bought the Telugu rights of Veeram as well.

Ajith's Veeram is all set to release on the 10th of January and the movie has already passed the censor test with flying colors by bagging a clean U certificate. So far, the film has been booked in around 380 screens across Tamil Nadu. With Jilla also in the Pongal race, the final theater count is subject to a few last minute changes.
