Actor Ajith's 55th film was in news for bad reasons thanks to rumors suggesting that the production manager of the Gautham menon directorial flick has been arrested for shooting the film without obtaining permission. This was however cleared as mere rumour by official sources close to the film.

Now the good news about the successful completion of second schedule of the shoot has come from the tweet of it s cinematographer Don Macarthur. It seems the team will take a break for a week's time before commencing the third schedule

Don has tweeted "#Thala55 schedule 2 complete resume in 1 week. Thanks to the team!"

The yet to be titled film that is being produced by A.M.Ratnam under Sri Satya Sai Movies banner is expected to hit the screens by the end of this year and Gautham is planning the schedules accordingly. The film stars Anushka, Trisha, Arun Vijay and Vivekh alongside Ajith and music is being scored by Harris Jayaraj who has joined hands with Gautham after a gap of six years.

Sources close to Trisha have confirmed that the former Miss Madras will be playing one of the heroines opposite Ajith in the actor's 55th film that is being directed by Gautham Menon. This will be Trisha's fourth film with Ajith after 'Ji', 'Kireedam' and 'Mankatha' and second film with Gautham after the super hit romantic flick 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa'.

Earlier sources close to the 'Ajith 55' film were telling that the actress is being approached for a role in this double heroine subject but she is yet to give her nod. However the latest development seems to be that Gautham has narrated the script to Trisha who has reportedly conveyed her interest to accept the role offered to her. Based on this, sources close to the 'Endrendrum Punnagai' actress assert that she will be signing to star in the film soon.  They also add that the character that has been offered to Trisha is very crucial to the script.

Since the Silambarasan - Selvaraghavan project to which the actress had allotted dates has been put on hold, she will be able to reschedule the same dates to the Gautham Menon flick.  She is expected to join the shoot of A.M.Ratnam Production venture, in its second schedule that will begin soon.

In the first schedule that commenced on April 11, a stunt scene and scenes featuring the lead pair Ajith and Anushka have been canned
